Maysles Documentary Center

Maysles Documentary Center (MDC) is a Harlem based non-profit focused on community engagement, education, and social justice through documentary filmmaking. The non-profit offers cinema programs, workshops, and fiscal sponsorship to support underrepresented voices and aspiring filmmakers.

The H. T. Ewald Foundation will fund The Harlem Photo League (HPL), a free program for 15 high school students from Harlem and the South Bronx, where they explore art and activism, learn technical skills, and create personal documentary projects.

This project is managed by Brandon Smith and Wendy Ewald.
